Refunds, returns & chargebacks
1. Nature of the product
Our products are digital downloads (environment maps and related files). Files are delivered without DRM. Once a download link is provided or files are otherwise made available, the economic benefit of the purchase is considered consumed in the same way as other instant digital goods.
2. General policy: all sales final after delivery
Except where the law requires otherwise or we expressly agree in writing, all sales are final after successful payment and delivery. We do not offer returns of digital goods because they cannot be “returned” in a verifiable way once copied.
This posture is common among stock-asset and digital-content sellers: many marketplaces treat delivered downloads as non-returnable. Consumer-facing game platforms sometimes offer limited refund windows (for example, Steam’s time- and usage-based refund rules), but royalty-free asset stores more typically use an all-sales-final rule after download, with narrow exceptions—similar to how many retailers exclude “electronic software downloads” from physical return programs.
3. When we may still refund (exceptions)
We may issue a refund or credit, at our discretion, in cases such as:
- Duplicate charge or clear payment processing error;
- Failed delivery (e.g. you were charged but never received access and we can verify it);
- Defective files that are materially unusable and confirmed by us;
- Legal obligation in your jurisdiction.
Refund requests are reviewed case-by-case and may require your order or receipt identifier.
4. European Union — withdrawal right for digital content
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA/UK, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For digital content not supplied on a physical medium, that right can be lost if you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right once delivery begins. Our checkout and terms should present that consent where required. If you believe you retained a statutory right, contact us with your jurisdiction and order details.
5. Chargebacks (payment disputes)
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, the dispute is handled under card-network rules, not this policy alone. We will submit evidence (license terms, delivery logs, download timestamps, and communications) as appropriate. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account closure and recovery efforts.
6. Stripe & records
Payments and refunds are processed by Stripe. Refunds initiated by us will appear according to your bank’s timing. Order and dispute data may be mirrored in our admin systems from Stripe webhooks for support.
7. Contact
